Agronomists, crop consultants and field sales reps use full-resolution GreenReport® maps to determine stages of crop development within their areas of responsibility. The maps help them determine which crop areas might be under stress and need to be visited. 

Forage producers use GreenReport® information to monitor growth of forage crops and grasses.  The rate of green-up can be observed by using Greenness Difference Map 1 which shows the progress of vegetation on a weekly basis. 

A land manager in southeast Washington State uses GreenReport® maps to monitor the start of green-up in the winter wheat areas that he oversees… even from many miles away.  Visiting these areas on a timely manner is difficult and expensive. Maps make it easier to plan.

A Crop Insurance Company uses full-resolution GreenReport® map sets to monitor hail and flood damage within areas of their coverage.  They import the maps into their database of insured areas and are able to determine the extent and severity of disaster events. 

A cattle rancher in Oklahoma uses GreenReport® maps to monitor range conditions and determine stocking rates for areas that are grazed by his cattle.  He stated that he could get a better feel for grazing rates by looking at greenness maps that show how current conditions compare to the previous years.

A global hybrid seed company uses GreenReport® maps to aid in scheduling seed plot field days and other activities. After planting, maps can also be used to gauge the impact of weather and other factors on their plots, including insect and disease pressure, all the way up to harvest.
