Jed Lafferty

PRESIDENT

Prior to assuming leadership of TMAI in May, 2023, Jed was Managing Director, Life Sciences at Planalytics, Inc., a business weather intelligence firm in Philadelphia, PA. At Planalytics, Jed worked with TMAI to jointly develop many of the reports, data products and services provided to global agricultural firms. Previous experience included FMC Agricultural Products (International Marketing in US and Mexico); Farm Journal Media (President, Information Resources Div.), AgWeb.com and Agrilance, (Joint Venture between Land O’lakes and CHS Industries.)


Dr. Jude Kastens

Dr. Kastens is Director of the Kansas Applied Remote Sensing Laboratory (KARS) and is a Research Professor at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. At KU, Jude leads a team of statisticians, database developers and analysts focusing on remote sensing data for agricultural applications such as crop yield forecasting. The group’s work also includes hydrologic modeling, land cover change detection and ecological modeling. Jude is also a partner in his family’s 20,000 acre farming operation in northwest Kansas and Nebraska.


Sarah Campbell

ADMINISTRATIVE LEAD

Sarah is responsible for the financial and administrative operations at TerraMetrics Agriculture. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Kansas in 2002, Sarah started a graphic design, website development and social media management firm in Lawrence, Kansas with clients nationwide, including TerraMetrics. She joined the firm in 2018 and, in 2024, assumed her current role.


Christopher Bishop

DATA ANALYST

Christopher earned a Master of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Kansas in 2010.  He specializes in remote sensing and GIS. The focus of his work involves land cover mapping and other ecological and agricultural applications using multi-temporal satellite imagery. Research-related data include MODIS, VIIRS, Landsat, Sentinel-2, LiDAR, and PlanetScope imagery.


John Lomas

GIS SPECIALIST

Prior to the formation of TerraMetrics Agriculture, John was involved in the development of KARS first GreenReport® maps. At KARS, John has also has contributed to other research projects, including identification of grassland treatments using close-range hyperspectral remote sensing, analysis of chemical spray drift zones in proximity of water bodies and other land-use/land-cover mapping projects.
