and Crop Yield Update

Join TerraMetrics Agriculture and Planalytics as we review the effects of weather on the 2025 US crop season. We will also provide our latest assessments of crop yields and crop conditions for winter wheat, corn, soybeans and other summer crops, followed by our weather outlook for the balance of the season.

Jude Kastens — TerraMetrics Agriculture, Analytics Lead
Dr. Kastens is a Research Professor at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS where he is Director of Kansas Applied Remote Sensing (KARS), leading a team of GIS specialists, database developers and analysts focusing on remote sensing data for agricultural applications, such as crop yield forecasting for TerraMetrics.ag. Jude is also a partner in his family’s 20,000 acre farming operation in northwest Kansas and Nebraska.
Jeff Doran — Planalytics, Meteorologist
Jeff Doran is currently Director, Specialized Support and Services at Planalytics, where he has been supporting clients in the Retail, Agribusiness, Finance, and Insurance industries for the past 24 years. Prior to that, Jeff was an officer reaching the rank of Captain and then a civilian GS-13 working for the U.S. Air Force. He holds B.S. and M.S degrees in Meteorology from Penn State University.
